Veteran's Day and Cub Scouts

Today I was very excited.  I kept on telling my friends about tonight, going on a fieldtrip.
Tonight we went to a Veteran's Memorial and found my neighbor's engraved name.

My mom told me about my Grandpa Rice who was in the Navy.  He helped clean up in the Pearl Harbor.  I thought it was the most amazing, yet terrifying job.

I found out why we have Veteran's day on 11/11.  It's because that's when they signed the treaty of WW1. On November 11 at 11am.   Pretty cool huh?

#13 Day #3 of Day Camp

Today I got to do the following... Archery, Obstacle Course, tie dying, Shooting, and Kick The Can, and Buying things. that's all the news I have for the day.


My favorite things was Kick the Can.

#12 Day camp day #2

To start the day we took a hike to collect things. We 'glued' them to a paper plate with bubble gum. My mom had to chew my gum for me.

then we went to leather work.


We made our own Tic Tac Toe boards and played.


We learned to play Volley ball.



We hammered our own metal bowls. We started with a flat piece of metal and hammer until it was a bowl

We could hear this from all over the camp.

Our leader won a package of water balloons and we filled them and had a water balloon fight. That cooled us off.







we then learned how to take care of the flag and how to correctly say the pledge.

Today my favorite thing was making the metal bowls!

#11 Day camp day #1

Today was first day of cub scout camp. We did the following .....

Opening ~ flag ceremony and daily announcements

Monkey Bridge ~ we make knots

and we go on a bridge made with two ropes and goes around trees.

Den Free Time ~ We can sit in our tent and talk

Tracking signs Hike ~ you look at signs that would be in the woods

Bouncy Balls ~ you make bouncy balls, that's all I can say about it.

Lunch ~ I had a lunchable

Noon Time ~ well, 5 boys were at the bathrooms ( I was one of those boys) and missed it all, and they played tug of war.

YoYo ~ you can make yo yos and you get to try them. During that the place we were in had two and a half bird nest. The names of the birds were Fred and Wilma.

Skits ~ we made a funny skit and we tried it and it sounded funnier than ever.

Closing ~ take down the flag.

My favorite one was working on our skit. We get to do our skits for family day at the end.

When we got home my mom shaved my head!
