Veteran's Day and Cub Scouts

Today I was very excited.  I kept on telling my friends about tonight, going on a fieldtrip.
Tonight we went to a Veteran's Memorial and found my neighbor's engraved name.

My mom told me about my Grandpa Rice who was in the Navy.  He helped clean up in the Pearl Harbor.  I thought it was the most amazing, yet terrifying job.

I found out why we have Veteran's day on 11/11.  It's because that's when they signed the treaty of WW1. On November 11 at 11am.   Pretty cool huh?

G out!

October's Swim Meet

My little fish is amazing!
At this meet he was swimming the 50 meter Butterfly
(that's down and back the length of the pool).
He was in last place at the turn (and not just barely last .. LAST)
and mercy me he put on the steam in the last few meters and pulled off a first place!
