As he made the bow he checked them off.

"1. Some wood (as the bow)

2. Little pieces of wood (about 3 to make the arrows)

3. hand protectors (both)

4. String

and possibly a point on the bow"

Trucker Buddy Jon

Today Trucker Buddy Jon came to visit G's 4th grade.
(You would have thought that Trucker Santa was coming, G was SOOO excited)

well, you can't tell it here,
because we're tough guy here!

Trucker Buddy Jon drives for Wal-mart. His home is in Canada. He has stay asleep for 18 hours. His tires hold 110 pounds of air pressure per square inch. We got to see where he sleeps, he has a vcr and a tv in his truck.

Trucker Buddy Jon is 65 years old (soon to be 66), he has been driving a truck since he was 16 and for Walmart for 40 years. He use to drive across the ice just like in "Ice Road Truckers". He married his current wife after he'd known her just 5 days.

Trucker Buddy Jon arrived at 9 and stayed until 1.

The class sends Trucker Buddy Jon messages (via USPS) every month but he sends messages via e-mail to them every week telling them where he is in the US.
Truck Buddy Jon brought the whole class these super cool hats, pins and key rings.

surviving the Titanic

G has been enjoying school.

Hubby went one day to be the WATCH DOG (this is a great program where Dad's get involved with the school while adding a certain amount of protection to the school). PLUS G loves his dad to come to school.

G's class studied about the Titanic.

G spent time last Wednesday first being a reporter interviewing Titanic survivors

and then he became a 3rd class passenger survivor

and was interviewed by a classmate reporter.

G took his 3rd class passenger role very seriously. He came home the night before and demanded that we cut up some of his clothes (!). I finally dug out some jeans that I'd cut off, thus they had strings still hanging from them, we found a 'work shirt' and he was happy!

G is thoroughly enjoying 4th grade.

Nothing much to report

G's life has gotten back into the routine of things.

We took a few weeks off of anything other than school, but in September it all starts again.

Piano on Mondays
Swim Team on Tuesday and Thursday
Cub Scouts on Wednesday

Thank goodness that Cub Scouts are the only one that goes into the night.

G decided to swim this fall instead of Soccer (soccer would require a Saturday also so I was pleased with this decision).

This week at Cub Scouts ~ we played outside. First we learn how Leg Wrestle, that was funny to watch. Then we played Frisbee Golf and ended the night with kickball.

This week was Dad's turn as the school "Watch Dog". This always thrills G, dad not so much.

The black is still hanging around but is certainly lighter. Unbelievable how long it takes to heal.

Tonight G and dad are at a ProBaseball game for alittle daddy son time.
